Welcome to the Warwickshire Hearts website
Warwickshire Hearts provide immediate trained response to 999 calls when there is not a West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) resource immediately available. Volunteers are trained by West Midlands Ambulance Service and are activated by the 999 Ambulance Control to these emergencies. Over the last six years since formation, the Group has averaged around 300 call outs to 999 emergencies each year.
The group is entirely self funded and volunteer Responders are unpaid.
People trained in CPR over the last three years
In addition to our work as Responders, which now extends to include Stratford Upon Avon and other adjacent parts of South Warwickshire, the Group became a major part of the ‘Warwickshire Hearts’ consortium with with two other local organisations: Evelyn’s Gift Charity and Waterside Medical Centre. Together we are working to improve Sudden Cardiac Arrest survival in South Warwickshire by proactively training members of the public in CPR and the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator.
In order to both fundraise and to get our organisation known to members of the community who are not ill – we also undertake First Aid for events drawing on our pool of well qualified Emergency Responders and other trained personnel including Doctors and a Pharmacist.
Warwickshire Hearts is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Number 1173425).
